Configuring Mail Routing for External Email Services

If you’re using external email services like Microsoft 365, Google Workspace (formerly Google Apps), or similar for one of your domains, it’s essential to configure the mail routing for that domain to External Routing. This ensures that emails are delivered correctly to your external mail provider instead of being handled locally by the hosting server.

Steps to Configure External Mail Routing

1. Log in to your hosting panel at hosting-panel.net.
2. Navigate to Domains.
3. Click the dropdown menu for the relevant domain.
   
4. Select Mail Routing from the dropdown options.
5. On the Mail Routing page, set the Mail Routing dropdown to External Routing.
   
6. Click Save Changes to apply the configuration.

Why Configure External Routing?

This setup is generally required to ensure that:

• Plugins or tools like SMTP plugins send emails externally.
• Emails intended for your domain are routed to the external email provider instead of being delivered locally on the server.
