Add google-site-verification TXT record to domain

Note: This guide also applies to Facebook Business Manager (facebook-domain-verification).

Sometimes it's required to verify your domain at Google for setting up the Search Console or Google Apps.

Google will ask you to add a TXT record to your domain, such as:

google-site-verification=<random_characters>

To do this, you'll have to go to cPanel and go to Zone Editor in the Domains-section:

Then click on Manage next to the domain you want to change your DNS for:

And add a new TXT record by clicking the arrow next to Add Record, and select Add "TXT" Record:

Now you'd want to enter your domain into the Name field, leave TTL the default, ensure Type is set to TXT and in the Record textarea you'd define your google-site-verification string above, as follows:

Then simply click the Add Record button, and within 10-15 seconds the changes will have been applied across our nameservers.
